Conte set to start formidable duo against Manchester City


Antonio Conte is set to start formidable duo of Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata against Manchester City in their Premier League game on Saturday at the Stamford Bridge.

Conte confirmed that both Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata will be handed a starting role in the game when they face Manchester City.

The Premier League Champions will play the League leaders on Saturday coming off back from their impressive 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid in Spain on Wednesday.

Hazard and Morata blended so well and it was evident in the game against Diego Simone’s men in the Champions League match- day two

The duo linked up impressively all through the game, but there was a scare at the end of the game as Morata was seen hobbling, Conte has confirmed they are both are set to face the Cityzens.

Conte said: "For us, Hazard is an important player. Last season he had an important season. He played very well. He performed as a top player [does] and worked a lot to have a really good season. Now we managed really well his recovery, with respect to playing him at the right time to give him a start in a big game.

"Sometimes the players don't have patience, but the coach and the staff have to try and take the best decision for the player, the team and the club to be sure that, now, the injury is in the past for him. Now he's fit. He played a really good game against Atletico Madrid. I'm very happy for him.

"Eden, if he was able to play one game like the Atletico game, it means he's ready now to play with continuity. But I have to try and make the best decision for the team, not only for the player.

Asked whether Hazard was fit, Conte added: "Yes, he's fully fit and in contention for Premier League clash.

Chelsea is on the Third position three points behind both Manchester team.
