Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has issued a warning to the club owner Roman Abramovich over his sack.

Conte wants to remain at the Stamford Bridge and wants to keep his job, despite speculations about his future at the Chelsea, with Luis Enrique and Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri being linked with the job as possible successors.

The former Juventus manager claims he deserves to stay even if he goes trophy-less this season and insists that the Russian billionaire should place some trust in him to succeed in a bid to build a legacy.

The Italian declared: “You continue to work with a manager not because of what he achieves in one season, but because you trust in him.

“Then you build something with him. It doesn't mean you have to win something because that's not easy in England.

“If you don't win, try and build something important. There are two ways. There is a stupid way and an intelligent way."

Chelsea will face West Bromwich Albion on Monday at the Stamford Bridge and in the FA Cup, the Premier League Champions will face Hull City before the Champions League match against Barcelona.
