Luis Saurez's second-half strike was enough to secure Barcelona a slim1-0 advantage over Valencia in Thursday's Copa del Rey semi-final first leg.
A drab first half ended with nothing separating Barcelona and Valencia but an interesting second half saw Luis Saurez
break the deadlock with a header from the centre
of the box to the top right corner.SETTING THE SCENE
Coutinho who managed 66 minutes on his full Barca debut against Alaves last weekend was replaced on the right wing by Aleix Vidal.
Elsewhere, Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba came into the full-back positions and Paulinho was replaced by Sergio Busquets.
Valencia boss Marcelino, meanwhile, rung the changes after his side's 4-1 home defeat to Real Madrid as former Arsenal defender Gabriel Paulista, Ruben Vezo, Andreas Pereira, Carlos Soler and new boy Luciano Vietto were all summoned.
The two sides last met in November, when Alba secured the Barcelona a 1-1 draw at Mestalla.
