Diego Costa could still be set for a move to China in the summer, with the striker reportedly keen to earn the megabucks in the Far East
Diego Costa could still make the move to China as he remains a £620,000-per-week target for the Chinese Super League after they failed with an initial bid to lure him away from Chelsea.
The 28-year old was reported to have asked for a move in January when a massive bid was made by an unnamed Chinese club, with Chelsea turning down the bid as they wanted the striker to champion their Premier League title challenge.Read also: Steven Gerrard and Carragher make Liverpool returns
However, it appears the Spain international will make the move to the Chinese Super League in the summer with another bid in the offing for the controversial striker, who has said while he is happy at Chelsea, he is ‘not necessarily happy with life in London’.
According to reports, Costa was left furious with the club for not letting him take up the eye-watering offer to move to Tianjin Quanjian in January. He is believed to remain keen on a potential switch given the £32million-per-year on offer.
And there are growing fears within the Chelsea camp that their striker's head has been turned by a potential switch to the Far East this summer.
