Philippe Coutinho has finally spoken about his proposed move to Barcelona - one that was perhaps the biggest transfer saga of the just shut summer transfer window.
Making his return to the starting line-up at home to Burnley on Saturday, Coutinho stated that his only intention for the season ahead is to give his all for the Reds.
"What happened was I got a job offer and, in life, sometimes you get interested, sometimes you don't, and in my case, as everybody knows, I got interested, my family too.
"But as I've always said, it's a great honour
to receive an offer from such a great club like [Barcelona], but it's also a great honour
being here, Liverpool is a great club worldwide.
"Now I'm here and I'll give my best, as always." the Brazilian playmaker told ESPN
Having now played in Europe for Liverpool this season, it is almost certain that Barcelona will have to wait until next summer to rekindle their interest in the Brazilian.
