Crystal Palace send Tottenham out of FA Cup

Roy Hodgson's men sent Tottenham Hotspur packing in the FA Cup following the 2-0 defeat at the Selhurst Park on Sunday evening.

Crystal Palace wasted no time to break the deadlock after Connor Wickham rebound shot found the back of the net in the 9th minute of the clash.

Crystal Palace pressed for the second goal as Tottenham seat back to take on defensive duties in the 18th minute.

Crystal Palace was awarded a penalty after Walker Peters handed the ball in the box as Andros Townsend converted the spot-kick to double the lead for Eagles.

Tripper lost a penalty kick in the 41st minute, the first half ended in 2-0 in favour of Crystal Palace. 

In the second half, Tottenham aimed to open up the spaces in the Crystal Palace defence despite their nice move around the defence of the Eagles they failed to capitalise on the weak defence of Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace was a bit defensive as Spurs maintained an offensive play but Crystal Palace remained solid and compact in the defence.

Crystal Palace almost scored the third goal but Wilfred Zaha's effort was too weak to beat the goalkeeper.

The game ended 2-0 in the favour of Crystal Palace.
