Romelu Lukaku celebrates one of his goals for United.Manchester United ckntinued their unbeaten start to the season with fine performance as they beat CSKA Moscow 4-1 in Russia.First HalfGoing into the game, CSKA Moscow would have expected a tough duel, given how Manchester United have started the season, but they wouldn’t have expected to be behind almost as soon as the referee sounded the whistle for kick off.Just four minutes in and the Russian giants were behind. Martial produced a beautiful lofted cross into the box, where Lukaku rose highest to head the ball into the right side of the goal and beyond the goalkeeper, and United were in front. What a start for the Red Devils. To their credit, CSKA fought back and almost equalized shortly after, but Alan Dzagoev’s effort was brilliantly saved by David De Gea.Then on 13 minutes, Mkhitaryan had time and space inside the box after picking up a neat pass, but his shot towards the middle of the goal was easily saved by Igor Akinfeev. What a chance.Five minutes later, United increased their advantage as Martial stepped up to convert from the spot, after Mkhitaryan was felled by a CSKA defender. The Frenchman was having a brilliant start to the game and just capped it up with the goal. And just before half time, both Igor Akinfeev and De Gea were called into action but both of them didn’t let their teams down.Second HalfAt the restart, Aleksandr Golovin went close for CSKA, when he picked up the ball in space and from inside the penalty area and sent a shot narrowly over the bar. It would have been a perfect way to start the second half for them. But United would not be without their own early chances as Ashley Young swung the ball into the box, and Daley Blind got in front of his man and powered his header just over the bar.The hard work would soon pay off, however, as Mkhitaryan pounced on a rebound inside the box from a Martial shot and sent the ball into the back of the net, making it 4-0.United continued to dominate, but the Russian then went close again against the run of play, but De Gea was once again alert to thwart the effort. And soon after, it was the turn of United to get a chance, but substitute Matteo Darmian played his shot directly at Akinfeev, who made himself big.But the English side would not escape with a clean sheet, as substitute Kuchaev pulled one back for the home side. But it would count as only a consolation in the end.
