Juventus right-back, Dani Alves, is keen to avoid his former side Barcelona in the next stage of the Champions League unless they both get through to the final of the competition which would be held in Cardiff.

The Bianconeri defeated the Portuguese side Porto 1-0 at home courtesy of Paulo Dybala penalty on Tuesday night to wrap the game 3-0 on aggregate to reach the quarter-final of this year Champions League with a hope of meeting his old side when the draw will be made on Friday.

The 33-year-old Brazilian right-back, who left Barcelona for Juventus last summer after eight successful years, isn't too keen on a reunion anytime soon.

“I wouldn’t like to draw Barcelona. It would be too weird for me,” the former Blaugrana star told BeInSports.

“If I really have to face them, I’d prefer it to be in the Champions League Final.”

Juventus lost 3-1 to Barcelona in 2015 final.
