The Super Eagles are to fly out to Constantine today ahead of Friday’s World Cup qualifier against Algeria with Nigeria having booked their place at the world’s biggest football showpiece next year.

“We will travel out in the morning tomorrow (Thursday), the finer details are being worked out,” Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye was quoted by ScoreNigeria.

“The flight to Algeria will be about an hour.”

He also reported that goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi had his first training with the rest of the squad on Wednesday evening after he was delayed from his base in South Africa by a flight hitch.

Injured defensive midfielder Mikel Agu is expected to head back to his base in Turkey.

“He came with the injury, but it could not be managed, so he has to go back to his club,” Ibitoye said.

“So, we will have 22 players available for the match in Algeria.”
