Diego Costa left out of Champions League squad

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been left out of the Blues Champions League squad for the group stages, according to SkySports

The Premier League Champions have confirmed their Squad for the Champions League for the 2017/18 season and Spanish striker Diego Costa is not included.

The Spanish forward has been in desperation to path way with Chelsea after being informed he is not in Antonio Conte’s plan for future while on international duty with Spain at the end of last season.

The Spaniard has been in Brazil after refusing to return to London after the end of the summer break in order to force a move to Atletico Madrid.

However, Atletico and Chelsea couldn’t agree on a fee for the striker before the summer transfer window shut last week meaning Costa will remain at Stamford Bridge until at least January.

While the 28-year-old had been included in their Premier League squad this season, Costa has been omitted from Chelsea’s Champions League squad.
