Disappointed Guardiola make move for ex Chelsea starShare:
Pep Guardiola was stung by Dani Alves' decision to join PSG instead of Manchester City and he will now go in for Ryan Bertrand.
Pep Guardiola will press on for former Chelsea defender Ryan Bertrand as he continues to look for options to fortify his full back positions ahead of the new season.
Manchester City were dealt a huge blow when Dani Alves chose to join PSG instead, despite holding talks with the Brazilian and Guardiola is now looking to press ahead for other options.
City have released full backs Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna and are a little short on options in those areas, and had been confident of landing Alves before the former Juventus full back decided to sign for French giants PSG.

City have now revived interest in Tottenham’s Kyle Walker, and are also expected to offer around £25million Bertrand in the hope of tempting them into a deal.
They remain in talks over the purchase of Benjamin Mendy from Monaco while they expect Tottenham to increase their asking price on £50million rated Kyle Walker.
