The victory in Anoeta on Sunday for Barcelona came with bad news in the shape of an injury Ousmane Dembele.

After the game against Real Sociedad, Dembélé had a problem with his left thigh and test according to the club confirmed that the player had suffered a hamstring injury.

"The French striker has a hamstring injury of the semitendinosus muscle in his left thigh that does not affect the area operated on earlier in the season.

"The injury will mean he will be out for a period of around three to four weeks."

Dembele's injury has occurred in the same muscle group that was operated on approximately four months ago (a ruptured femoral biceps tendon), undoubtedly a negative factor, since it is the same mechanism of contraction which produces an injury possible for surgery, making it difficult and planting uncertainty in the recovery process.

The severity of his injury is based on the size of the rupture and its position. Dembele's injury is complex since it affects his entire hamstring muscles, which are fundamental for sprinting.
