Super Eagles goalkeeper records second clean sheet in Israel - FCNaija

Austin Ejide continues to stake a claim for a place in the Nigeria squad to the World Cup by keeping yet another clean sheet for Israeli second division side Hapoel Had Era.

The 35-year old kept a clean sheet in the scoreless draw at Ironic Nesher inside the Nesher Municipal Stadium, making it seven straight clean sheets in the Israeli second league.

It was a Matchday 21 fixture which halted the home side’s losing streak.

The bulky shot-stopper, who stands between the sticks for Hapoel Had era, told Scorenigeria.com.ng he is happy with his team’s rising fortunes in the campaign.

“It was a difficult game but thank God we got a point,” the former Hapoel Be’er Sheva goalie admitted.

“We are doing good at the moment, we thank God for everything.

“Our target is to keep working hard in every game and see where we will be at the close of the season.”

Hapoel Had Era are now seventh on the second-tier league table with 33 points.
