Las Palmas manager Paco Jemez says fans should not expect to see Nigeria's Emmanuel Emenike in the La Union Deportiva squad anytime soon, insisting once more that the former Fenerbahce man isn't part of his plans.

Jemez was reportedly unimpressed with the January signing upon his arrival at the club, with the Olympiacos loanee turning up unfit and overweight, according to reports from Spain.

Since then, Emenike has struggled to find a place in the side and that is a situation which won't change in the near future as confirmed by his coach.

"He wasn't, isn't, nor will he be in the squad and this is a subject which has been discussed too much.

"You just have to get used to the idea that he won't be there. That is the feeling that I get from him, that his knee isn't up to it." Jemez said in a pre-match interview as quoted by MARCA
