Tammy Abraham, a Chelsea striker who is on loan at Swansea has been demoted to England U-21 after turning down the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles.

The 20-year old English footballer of Nigerian descent made a decision of a lifetime when he chose to represent England in the international level ahead of Nigeria even after the NFF President Amaju Pinnick offered him a slot to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Tammy Abraham was in good form for Swansea and was invited to England’s warm-up games against Germany and Brazil in November 2018.

He was given a start in his debut game against Germany and was introduced in the 75 minute against Brazil.

The youngster's form has dropped and was not included in Gareth Southgate’s 27 man list for the friendlies against the Netherlands which saw the Engish side win by a lone goal following the upcoming march against Italy on Tuesday.

However, Tammy Abraham is back with the England Under-21 side as he is among the 26 players Aidy Boothroyd listed for tonight’s friendly with Romania at Molineux and the big Euro 2019 qualifier with Ukraine at Bramall Lane on Tuesday.

Other players of Nigerian descent called up by England include Ademola Lookman, Ovie Ejaria, Dominic Solanke and Josh Onomah.
