Former AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez had a great chance to score when he found himself free inside the 18-yard box but his effort was thwarted by the very agile Enyeama in goal for the away side.
The home of the home side paid off as they were awarded a penalty after Franck Beria was penalized for pulling the shirt of Nicolas Pallois. Adama Soumaoro was booked for dissent but Diego Rolan failed to convert the spot kick as he hit the bar and Lille held on for a vital three points.
