Premier League new boys Fulham Football Club have beaten Arsenal and Chelsea for Ivory Coast international Jean Michael Seri from Nice.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, but the Cottagers have managed to fend off interest from Gunners Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli among others to sign him.
According to Daily Mail reporting that Fulham paid £18million fee on Seri with a four-year deal, while London outfit have
the option to extend former ASEC Mimosas midfielder deal, which runs to 2022, by a further year.
The transfer is subject to international clearance and a work permit for the Ivorian who have
has featured 16-times for the West African nation.
Seri was happy as he told the Fulham official website
: "It was a long day yesterday so it was great to get the move finalised.
"Now, I’m ready to get started and looking forward to meeting the squad and getting to know them, the Head Coach and his staff better.
"I’m delighted to be here, it’s a new adventure that starts for me and I’m hoping it will all go well.”
Fulham co-owner Tony Khan said: "Jean Michael arrives with Premier League qualities as well as great promise for the future, which is why he has been at the very top of our target list for a long time."
Seri was close to a move to Barcelona in 2017, scored 12 goals in 103 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
