EVE 1-0 ARS: Jagielka's goal seals the win for the Toffees

Phil Jagielka early strike was enough for Everton to seal the three points against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday at the Goodison Park.

Everton scored the first goal of the game through Phil Jagielka in the 9th minute after Arsenal failed to clear a deep throw-in into the area.

Everton and Arsenal played end to end attacking game both teams look to score, Arsenal struggled to contain Everton midfielders in the match.

Arsenal did not really pose any threat in the first half, Everton had some decent attempts but Arsenal defence was alert to sense all the dangers. Everton held to their lead in the opening 45 minutes.

Arsenal started the second with an offensive mode after the withdrawal of Sead Kolasinac and Mohammed Elnenyfor Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Aaron Ramsey in the 46th minute of the clash.

Everton had some opportunities to score the second the goal but Bernd Leno was top of his game to deny Bernard a chance to score the second goal.

Surgddison and Richalison blasted some opportunity to give Everton a chance to kill the game, Unai Emery made his final substitute as Alex Iwobi was thrown in for Mesut Ozil.

Iwobi pushed the attack for Arsenal but the Gunners could not find the back of the net as the game approaches the end.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of the home team despite being wasteful in attack.
