Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton hit out at Cesc Fabregas and hailed Ruben Loftus Cheek, claiming that the England international is better than the ex-Arsenal midfielder.

Loftus Cheek is currently on loan at Crystal Palace from Chelsea and he made his debut for England in the friendly match against Germany last week Friday and won the Man of the man award due to his performance.

The midfielder’s performance was rewarded by the Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate as he was handed a start during the pre- World Cup friendly match against Brazil on Tuesday at the Wembley stadium which ended in 0-0 draw.

Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevil meanwhile is excited by the talent that is coming out of the club youth development system.

Fabregas reveals his thoughts about Mourinho's Chelsea exit

"The next group looks like a bunch of Chelsea doesn't it and they're all beginning to get opportunities now," Nevil told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"They're getting games, Loftus-Cheek will get a game when he's gone out on-loan, Tammy Abraham will get a game out on-loan. It may well be that they get enough games."

"So you happen to be playing with Palace, if you're good enough, it will show through, you're playing in the Premier League."

Nevin went on to ask Sutton whether he feels that Loftus-Cheek is better than Fabregas to which Sutton replied saying: "Yes I do."

Chelsea will resume Premier League action with a trip to Hawthorns to face WestBrom Wich Albion.
