Ex-Man United star in line for £145,000-a-week EPL return

Former Manchester United forward, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez is in line for a return to the premier league as West Ham United have jumped ahead Chelsea on the queue for the Bayer Leverkusen star.

The Hammers are desperate to sign a striker this summer after ending their pursuit of Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud and Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

According to Mexican newspaper Publimetro, Chicharito is also wanted by Chelsea who is set to lose striker, Diego Costa after the Spanish forward fell out with manager, Antonio Conte but Slaven Bilic’s West Ham looks set to outbid the Blues with a £145,000-a-week deal.

The Mexican has a £13million buy-out clause in his contract and is desperate to return to the Premier League after experiencing the league in the past as a player for Manchester United.

West Ham is also expected to complete the loan signing of Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart today and make a third bid for Stoke winger Marko Arnautovic, who is keen to join.
