Ex-Chelsea ace unleashes EPL stars for Ukraine v Nigeria tie

Former Chelsea striker and Ukraine present coach Andriy Shevchenko have called two Premier League players of for next month international friendly match against Super Eagles of Nigeria in Dnipro Arena.

The 42-year-old coach has invited twenty-four players for the upcoming European Championship qualifier against Lithuania and friendly with Gernot Rohr men with Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko and West Ham winger Andriy Yarmolenko among the stars call-up.

Shevchenko called up three goalkeepers, eight defenders, 11 midfielders and two strikers, placing Yevhen Shakhov, Sergey Sidorchuk, Nikolay Shaparenko and Artem Besedin on standby with Ukraine will face Lithuania on September 7 in Vilnius and take on the Super Eagles in the first-ever meeting on September 10.

Goalkeepers: Andriy Pyatov (Shakhtar Donetsk), Denys Boyko (Dynamo Kyiv), Andriy Lunin (Valladolid, Spain).

Defenders: Serhiy Kryvtsov, Mykola Matviyenko, Serhiy Bolbat (all Shakhtar Donetsk), Nikita Burda, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Oleksandr Karavaev (all Dynamo Kyiv), Ihor Plastun(Gent, Belgium), Eduard Sobol (Bruges, Belgium).

Midfielders: Yevhen Konoplyanka (Schalke, Germany), Andriy Yarmolenko (West Ham, England), Ruslan Malinowski (Atalanta, Italy), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City, England), Roman Bezus (Gent, Belgium), Maryan Shved (Celtic, Scotland), Viktor Tsyhankov, Vladimir Shepelev, Vitaliy Buyalskyi(all Dynamo Kyiv), Taras Stepanenko, Marlos (both Shakhtar Donetsk).

Forwards: Roman Yaremchuk (Gent, Belgium), Junior Moraes (Shakhtar Donetsk).
