Former Zamelek star set for medicals with NPFL side

Former Zamelek and Egypt international Sayed Mosaad is due in Nigeria for a medical as he closes in on a big money move to a mid-table team in the NPFL, can confirm.

Mosaad is an Egyptian footballer who last played for Al-Qanah, but was most famous for his spell at Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League.

The former Egypt youth international who represented the young Pharoahs at the U-20 level is currently at Al-Ahli but have been reliably informed the 30-year old striker is not set to end his spell with the Egyptian in a bid to become the latest foreign import in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

"The deal is in its final stage. As we speak, Mosaad is expected in Nigeria for his medicals." source said.

Mosaad who has had spells at Lebanese side Al-Ahli Sports Club and Al-Yarmouk FC in Jordan is expected to complete his switch to Nigeria in the coming where he will join the likes of Ghana's Owusu Addai (Rivers United), Côte d'Ivoire's Guy Kuemian (Rivers United) and William Silva (Brazil), Pascal Seka (Ivory Coast), Fabrice Ngoma (Cameroon) who all play for IfeanyiUbah FC as one of the foreign stars seeking greener pastures in Nigeria.
