Ex-NPFL top scorer joins Ligue 1 side from Plateau United

Former NPFL top scorer Godwin Obaje has joined Tunisian Ligue I side JS Kairouan on a two-year deal with the option to extend from Plateau United.

The 22-year-old striker scored 18 goals in 2016 beat-off competitions from Rangers’ Chisom Egbuchulam and Obinna Nwobodo to emerge as the league Golden boot winner

Obaje completed the move on Wednesday following his decision not to renew his contract with Plateau United, where he spent a year after a spell with FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Wikki Tourists.

JS Kairouan currently sitting fourth in the Tunisian league table, JSK was founded in 1942 and they play at the 15,000-capacity Stade Ali Zouaoui.
