Etafia revealed that "Lobi Stars vice-chairman Mike Idoko has already contacted me for information on Sundowns.
"They are a top club with a lot of financial muscle, who are
likely going to boost the team with a few new signings in this transfer window.
"They are a team who like to attack both at home and away, but currently they are suffering a lot of injuries.
"Lobi need to win their opening match in this tough Champions League group, which also has ASEC Mimosas and Wydad Casablanca.
"They have the quality to pull off a victory which will set the tone for their campaign.”
Etafia won the league with Lobi Stars in 1999 before he eventually moved to South Africa but the former goalie is currently a television pundit and a coach for South African PSL side Highlands Park
