Chelsea has been advised to opt for a swap deal on the transfer of Thibaut Courtois, according to a report in ESPN

Former West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has informed Chelsea to go for a swap deal that will see Courtois move to Real Madrid and Keylor Navas will then move to Stamford Bridge.

Courtois has refused to turn up for training in order to force a move out of Chelsea to move to Real Madrid, he wants a move to Real as his children are based in Madrid.

Hislop has told Sarri to let Courtois leave if he can sign Navas in a straight swap.

“Straight swap, Keylor Navas,” he told ESPN FC.

“Let me tell you, Keylor Navas, in my opinion, is the most under-appreciated goalkeeper in European football, if not world football.

“Keylor Navas came into Real Madrid four years ago, sat on the bench for 12 months behind Iker Casillas and even then I knew he was better than Iker Casillas, but it was Iker Casillas, one of the all-time greats in the position, one of the all-time greats for Real Madrid.

“He bided his time, Casillas moves. He’s won three Champions Leagues back-to-back and yet never has been appreciated in that team.

“For me, Navas, top five, top six in the world. No question. And that’s including Courtois in there.

“If you get a straight swap, never mind all the other names that are branded about, I think that puts you in an outstanding position.

“It doesn’t change you an awful lot from what you’ve got now.

“As good as Courtois is, or can be, I think he’s also been a little bit inconsistent for Chelsea.

“You won’t have that problem with Keylor Navas.”

Chelsea has been able to sign Jorginho from Napoli and Rob Green this summer.
