Flying Eagles striker scores twice in Sogndal big win

Flying Eagles striker Jerome Akor scored twice as Sogndal thrashed Tromsdalen 5-2 in week 14 of the Norwegian First Division.

The 19-year-old youngster opened his goals’ account in the 31st minute to make it 3-1 and added gloss to the scoreline in the 61st minute, Sogndal's fifth goal.  

However, Akor featured in the entire duration of the encounter despite missing last-minute penalty, which could have made hm grabbed a hat-trick

Akor was involved in the first two matches played by the Nigeria U20s in the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup and was an unused substitute in the last two, against Ukraine and Senegal.

Sogndal have now climbed to ninth on the table with 20 points from 13 matches.

They have an outstanding match at home against Start on Wednesday as they aim to get into the playoffs bracket.
