Forgotten Super Eagles scores as Aris trounce Panathinaikos

Forgotten Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye on target as he club Aris Thessaloniki thrashed former Champions Panathinaikos 4-0 in the Greek Super League.

The 30-year-old Nigeria international Ideye scored in the 64th minute after Giannis Fetfatzidis, Fran Velez and Nicolas Diguiny had scored in the 20th, 44th and 54th minute.

Ideye expressed his willingness to return to Super Eagles where he lost his place after the 2013 Africa Cup Of Nations and missed the World Cup a year later in Brazil.

Former Bayelsa United star has scored one goal from seven games Aris Thessaloniki as he returns to Greece where he once featured and was league champion with Olympiacos between 2015 and 2017.
