Serge Gnabry is to join Hoffenheim for a season on loan from Bayern Munich. Serge Gnabry has joined Hoffenheim from Bayern Munich on a loan deal.The former Arsenal winger joined the German Champions in June for a transfer fee of £7million on a three-year deal but he has his chance limited in terms of first team football.He has made the request to join the Bundesliga team in order to secure first team football.A statement on the Bayern website read: 'Serge Gnabry will move from Bayern Munich to Bundesliga club Hoffenheim on loan with immediate effect.'The 21-year-old U21 European champion played last season at Werder Bremen and signed a three-year contract in Munich in June. He will be loaned until June 30, 2018.'Bayern club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge backed the move and believes Hoffenheim can expect a high level of performance from Gnabry. He said: 'It was Serge's explicit desire to be loaned for one more year so he could get more game time.Having broken onto the scene with Arsenal between 2012-16, Gnabry moved to his native Germany and has progressed exceptionally. He was instrumental for Werder Bremen last season he netted 11 times and provided a solitary assist.Hoffenheim fans will be hoping the talented wide-man will produce a similar output for their side in the coming season.
