Former Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo has fired a strong warning to Lille summer signing Victor Osimhen despite impressive form for Super Eagles and Ligue 1 club.
The 20-year-old has taken over the no. 9 shirts and he has been in an outstanding form which earned the country back-to-back wins in their first two Group L qualifying games against Benin Republic and Lesotho for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.JUST IN: Super Eagles landed in Abuja after AFCON clash

Ighalo called time on his international career in July following the Gernot Rohr side third-place finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where he was also awarded the Golden Boot after scoring five goals in Egypt.
Shanghai Greenland Shenhua striker told ESPN after the game against Lesotho he said: "I always told him that he has everything it takes to lead this attack, but it all depends on him,” Ighalo told ESPN after the game against Lesotho.
"I told him he has to keep working hard, stay humble and always be ready to learn, and above all not to get carried away with success or hype but just to keep improving.”
Osimhen has now scored four goals in his nine appearances for the three-time African champions.
