Udi replaces another former Nigeria international, Austin Eguavoen, who left the Akure-based club less than one month in charge over disagreements on player recruitment among other issues.
Sunshine are currently struggling in the ongoing Nigeria league season and sit a lowly 17th on the table, meaning they are in the drop zone and faces real danger of being relegated from the top flight at the end of the season.
