Frank Lampard has reacted to Chelsea’s £15million signing of Everton Ross Barkley from Everton during the weekend.
Lampard believes Barkley moved to Chelsea to boost his World Cup chance under England manager Gareth Southgate.
Chelsea beat Tottenham to the signature of the 24-year-old, Barkley is yet to feature this season both for his former club and his present club after suffering a hamstring injury that lasted for six months.

"I think it is a good signing - it is a no-brainer for Chelsea at £15m for a boy of his talent," Lampard said "He's only 24 years old but now it is up to Ross to prove his talents. I think he will do that at Chelsea, so it is a good move.
"If he plays consistently then I think he's a key England player in the making. He's already an England player and he's got that ability to create something out of nothing so let's get him playing regularly to show what he can do for England.

Barkley will have to compete for a spot in Chelsea midfield with the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard, Willian, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Kante and Pedro.
The new signing remained one of Everton’s best player last season during his 36 top flight appearance, he scored five goals and also created nine of Everton’s 62 strikes.
