Liverpool edge Fulham on a narrow scoreline of 2-1 to secure the necessary three points against their opponent at the Craven Cottage on Sunday evening as they move to the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool attacked from the start of the match with attacking move as the aim to score a goal but Fulham remained solid in the opening 24th minute.

Sadio Mane scored the opener in the 25th after a good one-touch combination with Roberto  Firmino to tap it in for The Reds. Liverpool dominated the match.

The second half started with Liverpool mounting pressure on the defence of Fulham as Firmino and Mane combined well to get the best out of Fulham defence.

Fulham manager Parker replaced Seri with Sessegnon in the 64th minute, Jurgen Klopp replaced Firmino for with Divock Origi and Lallana was substituted for James Milner.

Poor communication with Van Dirk and Alisson resulted in Ryan Babel putting the ball into the empty net to make it 1-1 for the Craven Cottage outfit.

Saido Mane was grabbed in the area and the centre referee pointed to the penalty spot as Milner made no mistake to convert the spot kick with nine minutes to end the game.

Another barren match for Salah as the Egyptian was substituted in the additional time for Sturridge to come in as a replacement.

Liverpool move to the top of the table as Manchester City has a game in hand in the Premier League.
