Friday Jacob's 30th minute audacious strike from out the box was more than enough for Crown to beat the People's Elephant in a keenly contested and entertaining encounter played at the Pitch B of the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium.

Enyimba had a great opportunity to draw level six minutes after the opening goal when Christian Obiozor dribbled past his maker inside the Ajilete Valiants box but he failed to find the back of the net after a wayward weak shot.

Fatai Osho's men claimed their first win of the tourney after two consecutive draw against Remo Stars FC and FC Yobo respectively to throw their group open as they face Lobi Stars FC who have gathered five points from three Gold Cup games.

Today's encounter between Lobi and Crown promises to be highly competitive and captivating for the two sides.

A win for either of the side will see them join Group B leaders Remo Stars who sit atop of the table with 8 points from 4 games.
