French World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann has finally revealed why he snubbed Barcelona for Atletico Madrid during the summer, according to report in the Spanish media AS.
Barcelona was keen on bringing the Atletico Madrid star to Camp Nou with the La Liga Champions having agreed on transfer fee but the French international striker turned down the move and opted to remain with Diego Simeone's men at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

'Saying no to Barcelona shows Atletico's greatness, [coach] Diego Simeone, my teammates,' he said.
'If they were bad, I'd be gone. But I have confidence in Simeone, in the club and in
my teammates. I want to make them grow and I have confidence in them to make me grow.'
Griezmann has not regretted his decision to stay with the Capital based club, he has helped Atletico to win the UEFA Super Cup since he expressed his desire to remain with Atletico Madrid.
Griezmann and his crew will face AS Monaco in the Champions League.
