Griezmann happy after scoring

Antoine Griezmann scored a late winner for Atletico Madrid to push Uche Agbo’s Granada further down the dreaded relegation zone.

The Nigerian defensive midfielder was on from start to finish against the Diego Simeone men and gave a good account of himself as he was tidy with his tackles and tracked back to help the defense at every opportunity – quality Gernot Rohr can use for the Super Eagles in future.

However, every hardwork did not paid as much as the home side would’ve liked as current French Player of the Year Griezmann scored the game’s only goal with just sixth minutes left on the clock.

A red card to Ghana international, Wakaso Mubarak killed off any challenge from the home side as Atletico celebrated a hard fought win.

The defeat was heart breaking for Granada as it left them 18th on the La Liga table with just 19points after 27 games while UEFA Champions League chasing Atletico Madrid sit fourth with 52points, five points adrift Sevilla in third.
