Guardiola reacts to Sterling's hat-trick as EPL race heat-up

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reacted to Raheem Sterling's hat-trick against Watford after the first half of the encounter ended goalless at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The English  forward came out in the second half smoking following his hat-trick in the last half of the game, he scored Manchester City all three goals to earn the three points for the Cityzens as the race to finish on top of the Premier League table heats up after the England international hit a 13 minute hat-trick to seal the game , though Watford pulled one back but it was not enough to turn the tie around.

Guardiola said, “He can do better. The three goals were fantastic but he can do better.

“He didn't help us a lot defensively in the first half and he gave the ball away.

“There are so many people working so hard to maintain their level.

“What we have achieved this season and last season is because we deserved it.

“There are nine games left and every game is important. We were waiting for a few months to be top and now, we are top. We try to win every game."

Manchester City won the clash with a 3-1 scoreline as they pile pressure on Liverpool who is yet to play Burnley on Sunday.
