Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Season Award again after guiding Cityzens to their second consecutive league title with Sunday's 4-1 win over Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

The 48-year-old Spaniard was up against Jurgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino and Nuno Espirito Santo for the award, and has now won the prize for the second year in a row on Tuesday night.

Guardiola told the dinner in a video message via the Premier League official website saying: "It’s an honour to receive this award,” the former Barcelona boss said in a video message.

"I want to share it with my players because they are the artists of everything, to my staff because we fought a lot [against] all the managers in the Premier League, especially Jurgen Klopp, an incredible contender to face [until] the end.”

"It was a pleasure to play against all of them and hopefully [we will] do big, big battles again to win an incredible title.”

Manchester City finished a point ahead of Liverpool after a nail-biting battle for the top spot that raged until the final day with 32 wins and two draws tallied up to 98 points, two shy of the record 100 attained last campaign,

They also boasted the highest number of goals scored, finding the back of the net a stunning 95 times, at an average of 2.5 goals per game and the Premier League Champions just conceded just 23 goals all year, which was behind only Liverpool's 22, proving just how hard they were to topple this time around.

Guardiola side has won Caraboa Cup and they could complete a domestic treble by beating Watford in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
