Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho who made his home Premier League debut for Leicester City during the 2-1 defeat to Victor Moses' Chelsea at King Power Stadium on Saturday believes the Foxes are not far from getting back to winning ways after a poor start to the new season.Goals from Álvaro Morata and N'Golo Kanté rendered Jamie Vardy’s penalty a mere consolation but Iheanacho, who came on in the 78th minute and was left disappointed with the score line at the end of 90 minutes is confident that positive results will follow.“It was a disappointing result but we’ll forget about it and move on,” the Nigerian striker told LCFC TV at full-time. “We need to work more in training so we get the results we need.
“If we work more in training and keep going, we will get points in the league. I’m pleased to make my home debut today so I’m happy and I hope I can help the team reach the level they want, score goals and get the points we need in the league." Iheanacho told the club's official websiteThe 20-year old Nigeria international who during the international break, Iheanacho registered his seventh career goal for Nigeria in a 4-0 victory over Cameroon has been limited to short cameos since switching the light blue jersey at Etihad for the deep blue at the King Power Stadium this summer but says he was delighted to get an opportunity to show the Blue Army what he is capable of on Saturday afternoon.“The first game here in preseason [against Borussia Mönchengladbach], I got a knock but I think I’m getting better now, fully fit and I’ll come back stronger to help us score.” the former Man City forward added
