Coach Johnny Jansen has been shocked that Heerenveen forward Chidera Ejuke has not been called up to Super Eagles by Gernot Rohr.
The 21-year-old former Gombe United star has scored seven league goals in 15 appearances at the Dutch Eredivisie but his impressive form with De Superfriezen he is yet to receive an invitation to the three-time Africa Champions, although he was called up to the U-23 team.

Heerenveen manager, Jansen expressed surprised that has not been considered for an invitation into the Super Eagles: "I was surprised he didn’t get called up to the main team of Nigeria. You have to ask the coach why because he did enough to get a look in.
"However, we rejected the chance for him to join U23. He’ll no doubt become a senior international in the nearest future,” he added.
Ejuke joined Heerenveen back in July 2019 for a transfer fee in the region of 2 million euros from Norwegian side Valarenga on a four-year contract but the youngster will hope for a call-up when the Super Eagles begin their World Cup qualifying campaign in March 2020.
