Pogba reveals the stars he dreams of playing alongside

France legend Thierry Henry has questioned Paul Pogba's ability to maintain a high level of performance following the midfielder’s anonymous display in their shock defeat by West Brom on Sunday.

Pogba was the star man with a brace as United came from behind to beat Manchester City 3-2 las weekend but was inconspicuous as United handed the Premier League title to City following the loss to the Baggies at Old Trafford and Henry has questioned his countryman’s ability to sustain a high level of performance.

Henry told Sky Sports: “As soon as the game started, something was weird — the atmosphere of the stadium, the team — it’s so weird from what we saw from that team a week ago.

“The commitment, the desire, and I asked if Pogba can do that all the time, the way he played against City. The answer is nope.”

With Jay Rodriguez's goal sealing a shock victory at Old Trafford, Manchester United were booed off the pitch upon the final whistle while the blue half of the city started celebrating their third Premier League title.

Henry believes Jose Mourinho saw this performance coming from the moment his team beat Pep Guardiola's side and says the Portuguese will be intensely frustrated with the hugely contrasting performances.

He continued: “[Mourinho] was trying to calm the players down and he has experience. He saw that result way before we saw it. He had a feeling that he needed to speak to the players during the week.

“He told them be careful it is going to be different against West Brom and I go back to Pogba: why didn’t you and the rest of the team do what you did against City all season?

“West Brom outworked them; they wanted to go out and hurt them. After 10 minutes, I turned and there was a weird atmosphere and I could only see West Brom scoring.”
