I am not in coma - MFM FC boss Ilechukwu - FCNaija

Contrary to reports that MFM FC head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu was in an unconscious state following the club's involvement in a minor accident on Sunday, the manager says he is fine and safe.

Players and Officials of the Lags based NPFL outfit were on Sunday evening involved in a minor road accident along Akungba, Ondo State on their way from back from Jos after their Matchday 5 encounter against current NPFL champions Plateau United which ended 1-0 in favour of their hosts.

"I thank God for what he has done for us, no life was lost, the players are in good condition and I am in good condition as well.

"I am surprised that they said I am in a coma, I am not. I am very okay right now.

"Our focus is now on our game against we Wikki Tourists, it is very important for us, you know we lost against Plateau United so now we have to shift our focus to that game because the three points is very important to MFM Football Club." Ilechukwu told the club's media channel

MFM FC who currently occupy 16th position on the NPFL table with six points from five matches will host Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in the NPFL Matchday 6 fixture at the Soccer Temple on Wednesday.
