Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi revealed that he will hate Neymar if he joined arch-rival Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old Brazilian superstar has been linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu in a £230million summer switch after leaving Nou Camp for PSG last summer world record fee.
Despite Neymar scoring 28 goals in 30 appearances of an injury-curtailed maiden season in the Ligue 1, rumours have swirled that Real Madrid are
gunning to make Neymar the star signing to launch a new era of success at the Spanish capital.
Messi starred alongside Neymar for four trophy-laden seasons at Camp Nou, and confessed it would be difficult to see his friend join Barcelona’s fierce rivals.
In an interview with TyC, Argentina captain said: "It would be terrible because of everything that Neymar means to Barcelona,” "He already knows what I think.
"Although [Neymar’s time in Barcelona] ended the way it did, he won important titles here, he won the Champions League, he won La Liga.
"If he ends up in Madrid, It would be a hard blow for us and for all of Barcelona.
"And on a football level, it would make Madrid much stronger than they already are.
” Messi added.
Though Barcelona won La Liga and the Copa del Rey this season, Real Madrid will go for their third straight Champions League trophy when they face Liverpool in the final on May 26 in Kiev.
