Iceland coach dumps coaching job for his dream job

Coach Heimir Hallgrimsson has dumped his coaching role with the Iceland national team in a bid to chase his dream job according to report in Marca.

Hallgrimsson announced he stepped down as Iceland coach and set to return to his previous job as a dentist.

The coach was in charge of Iceland at Euro 2016in France and the World Cup in Russia.

"Actually, there is no better job in the world than the national coach of Iceland and it would be difficult for me to leave the team," he said some weeks ago.

"Firstly I will go on vacation and then we'll sit down and talk about what's going to happen."

Iceland gained more reputation in Euros after they knocked out England in the round of 16 and qualified ahead of Croatia during the World Cup qualifying series.
