Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo three battles players of Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez and Adams Ounas for the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations Golden Boot as the tournament enters its final round.

The 30-year-old Shanghai Greenland Shenhua striker top the chart with four goals, while Senegal's Liverpool forward Mane, Algeria’s duo of Riyadh Mahrez and Adam Ounas, who have three goals each but Cederic Bakambu of the DRC also have scored three goals each.

However, Democratic Republic of Congo are already out of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, ruling out Bakambu from the race.

Nigeria face Tunisia in the third-place match on Wednesday and Ighalo has a final opportunity to add to his tally and possibly finish the tournament as top scorer, while Mane Mahrez and Ounas will trade tackle in the final on Friday for a chance to score goals and displace Super Eagles striker.

It would be recalled that the likes of Rashidi Yekini, Segun Odegbami and Austin Jay Jay Okocha have all won the highly rated award in the green and white colours of Nigeria.
