Odion Ighalo has left thoughts of the Super Eagles behind, and is now focusing on his club, Changchun Yatai.

Ighalo and Changchun will face Guangzhou R&F this weekend in the Chinese Super League and the striker has now turned his focus on the game.

“The friendlies were good for the team and we know where we are now and we will continue to work hard to be better ahead of the World Cup,” Ighalo told CSN.

Ighalo fired blanks in the two Nigeria friendlies against Poland and Serbia but remains confident that the Super Eagles will be ready for the tough task ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The former Watford striker started the encounter against Poland which the Super Eagles won 1-0 courtesy of a Victor Moses penalty, but came on as a half-time substitute against Serbia which Nigeria lost 2-0.
