However, Rohr statement has cause division among Super Eagles players with about four of them who spoke with Owngoalnigeria.com on the condition of anonymity angry that such a comment from national team coach should not ‎be made by a national team coach before the rest of the world.

One of the players is having a tough time at his club and he needs the support of all to get back to his best and not a criticism which could further dampen his morale and also place him against the fans of his club and country.

Speaking a very vocal member of the Super Eagles dressing room said Iheanacho isn’t the first player who has struggled at club level but he is the first to be punished for his poor club form while others notably Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Ahmed Musa, Francis Uzoho and even team captain Mikel Obi were treated differently.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will likely play two top friendly matches ahead of June’s AFCON which will take place in Egypt.
