Taiwo Awoniyi made it three goals in his last three games for Dutch side NEC Nijmegen as he found the net in his side’s 3-1 victory over Emmen in a relegation playoff natch on Thursday.

The former Nigeria youth international, who is on loan from Premier League side Liverpool, scored the third goal of his side in the 88th minute, after coming off the bench in the 60th minute.

Meanwhile, On-loan Arsenal youngster, Kelechi Nwakali was on target for MVV Maastricht as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Cambuur in the first leg of their Dutch Eredivisie (topflight) qualification play-off tie on Thursday.

Nwakali shot Maastricht into the lead when he got on the score sheet in the eighth minute.

But in the 17th minute, Cambuur restored parity through Sander Van De Streek.
