Andres Iniesta has opened up on the possibility calling time on his Barcelona career in the wake of Tuesday's UEFA Champions League humiliating exit at the hands of AS Roma.

The Catalans captain who was taken off for Andre Gomes after 81 minutes watched helplessly from the touchline as a Kastos Manolas flicked header, 60 seconds after his departure from the field condemned Barcelona to a second successive quarter-final exit to an Italian club.

Iniesta in a post-match reaction in said: "It's a possibility that this might be my last game in the Champions League but right now this is hard for all the team, all of us.

"We so wanted to win this tournament but we've failed to do so again. It's really tough.

"It seems untrue. Very hard to accept. With the advantage we had we went out because we really did things badly. The Champions League punishes you for that." said Iniesta

Iniesta and his gang will now shift focus to Saturday's La Liga tie against Valencia as they seek to maintain their unbeaten domestic run and extend their lead at the top of the table.
