Inter- Milan is set to double Mauro Icardi’s release clause in a bid to fend off interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea, according to report in calciomercato.

Icardi has been on Real Madrid’s radar and the role of the striker’s wife and the agent is very crucial in his decision as to whether he will leave Italy for Spain or England.

Icardi’s current deal at the Nerazzurri expires in 2021 and he already has a release clause of around 110 million euros.

Real Madrid set to sign Chelsea target for £88m in January

Inter is yet to hold talks with Wanda Nara as they want to keep a hold on to the striker while the Suning group is yet to talk with his 30-year-old agent is in China.

Real Madrid has signalled their interest in the striker, but Luciano Spalletti is very much convinced that he won’t move anytime soon.

Icardi himself doesn’t want to leave Milan and his wife will play a vital role in deciding his future as he doesn’t want to part ways with Spalletti.

Inter Milan is now set to offer him a new and improved contract with a better release clause.
