Alex Iwobi scored two second half goals as the Super Eagles won their warm-up match ahead of Sunday's 2018 World Cup qualifying match away to Zambia.
Iwobi who was absent in the last game against Tanzania powered the Super Eagles to a 3-0 win over Nigeria Professional Football League side, Plateau United.
The Eagles had a 1-0 lead in the first half.
One of the new faces in the Super Eagles set-up Andreson Esiti scored the only goal.
Coach Genort Rohr excused most of the 'big boys' from the first half of the game that took place at the Abuja national stadium under heavy downpour.
Though the likes of Ahmed Musa were in action in the first half, the Leicester City forward was a shadow of his usual self thus casting a doubt if he will be a starter in Ndola.
The likes of Captain Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Carl Ikeme and goal scorer, Iwobi all came in for the second half which was better for the Nigeria team.
The clash between the Super Eagles and the Chipolopolo (who both fought out a memorable Africa Cup of Nations final in Tunis in 1994 that the Eagles edged 2-1) will start at 2.30pm Zambia time (1.30pm Nigeria) on Sunday.
